Jwalamukhi: In a remarkable achievement for the city, Aarav, a student from Spring Dale Convent Senior Secondary School, won the gold medal in the Under-14 division at the State-Level Taekwondo Championship, which took place on October 15–16, 2025, at Government Senior Secondary School Kanaid in Mandi.
Aarav was part of a four-member team from Spring Dale Convent, which included Harshita, Divyansh, and Surya Pratap. The team showcased an outstanding performance, with Harshita earning a silver medal, while Divyansh and Surya Pratap each secured bronze medals.
This gold medal victory has also qualified Aarav for the upcoming National Taekwondo Championship set to occur in Nagaland, marking a significant milestone for both the school and the local community.
The students attributed their success to the unwavering support from the school management, Principal Dr. Rajeev Singh Niryal, and their coach Mr. Bhanu Pratap, whose commitment has been instrumental in nurturing their passion and skill in Taekwondo.
Dr. Niryal commended the students for their exemplary representation of the school and expressed optimism about their future achievements at the national level. Upon their return, the school community, including Chairman Dr. Rajendra, MD Mr. Pawan Chaudhary, and other committee members, celebrated the medalists and encouraged all students to engage in extracurricular activities alongside their studies.
